CALL FOR ENTRIES 2020
The Financial Reporting (FiRe) Award is the most prestigious and coveted Award in East Africa for financial reporting. The award is held annually by the joint Promoters; the Capital Markets Authority (CMA) Kenya, the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK), the Nairobi Securities Exchange (NSE) and the Public Sector Accounting Standards Board-Kenya (PSASB). The Award is aimed at promoting integrated reporting through enhancing accountability, transparency and integrity in compliance with appropriate financial reporting framework and other disclosures on governance, social and environmental reporting by private, public and other entities domiciled in East Africa.
The period for holding the FiRe Award 2020 is here with us, however this year is different with the COVID 19 affecting daily operations of entities and new norms coming into play. With COVID 19 comes uncertainties for organizations and the country with businesses having reduced incomes and business activity and adopting to new norms.
The theme for this year’s award is “FINANCIAL REPORTING EXCELLENCE IN A DISRUPTIVE ENVIRONMENT”
The Submission of Entries
Submissions for this year will be in soft copywith the deadline for the for Private sector entities being Friday, 18th September 2020 and for Public sector entities on Friday, 30th October 2020.
